Become a part of the Volunteer Committee for RFC Events
My name is Carrie Stadtmueller, and I am the Director of Events for Realities For Children. I am posting about a unique opportunity to become a part of an important volunteer committee that supports the Premier Events at Realities For Children.
Realities for Children is a unique organization that works to educate, engage, and inspire local businesses, partner youth agencies, and the larger community to collaborate in order to inspire change. We use business membership fees and event sponsorships to underwrite all administrative and event costs to ensure that 100% of all donations and event fundraising can go directly to support the needs of children in our community.
We are recruiting enthusiastic members to serve on our new important Events Committee for the remaining 2021 scheduled events and the 2022 Events Season. As a non-profit organization, we depend on the commitment of its members to keep our organization strong. We need individuals like you to help us plan our events as efficiently and effectively as possible!
We plan, host, and execute a vigorous schedule of yearly events that include:
- Realities For Children Gala & Awards Banquet – April 2, 2022
- Realities Ride & Rally – Memorial Day Weekend
- Realities Cup Invitational Golf Tournament – July 11, 2022
- Realities Rooftop Raise — September 2022
- Nightlights – December 1, 2022 (This event occurs every year on Dec 1)
RFC Events Committee – How it Works
The RFC Events Committee will meet monthly – with additional meetings as we get closer to event execution. These meetings will cover:
- Strategic planning – including promotional schedule, logistics, vendors, etc.
- Sponsorship requisition
- Auction planning (many of our events have a Silent Auction component included as part of the fundraising efforts)
- Budgeting concerns
- Volunteer coordination
We are specifically looking for individuals who would be willing to help lead the curation of SPONSOR CARE, AUCTION ITEMS, and VOLUNTEER HELP.
A commitment to the Events Committee does not mean that you would be responsible for being at every RFC event. Instead, it would be a year-long commitment to attend the meetings and help with any back-end responsibilities. You would be welcome to help serve and lead portions of the events if you choose to do so.
Most of our committee meetings will occur via Zoom in an effort to honor busy schedules and time.
If you are interested and feel called to volunteer for this important committee, please respond by emailing me at email@example.com or call 970-484-9090 x100.
Once we have a core group of members, we will set our first meeting, with the goal of gathering in mid-late August.
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. If you have any questions, please reach out. If you would like to volunteer for specific events, but cannot commit to the RFC Event Committee, please feel free to respond and I will keep your contact information for future reference.
I look forward to hearing from you soon and working with you on our future Premier Events!
Director of Events – Realities For Children Charities
The RFC Events Committee is made up of a select group of volunteers that assist RFC in running premier events. RFC Premier Events develop and provide fundraising support for the RFCC Emergency Funds, benefitting local children who have been abused, neglected, abandoned, or are at-risk.
The overarching objective of the RFC Events Committee is to bring the community together in support of the RFC mission. Each event is designed to reach a different segment of the community in order to maximize overall engagement and the ability to raise funds.
