Santa's workshop
Realities For Children's Santa's Workshop is a grassroots effort that has grown into a county-wide toy and winter gear distribution. This event began as an unsolicited movement by local businesses, schools, neighborhoods, churches and other groups who set out to collect and deliver new toys for the children we serve over the holidays.
This movement has grown every year and is now the single largest distribution of toys to children who have been abused or neglected in northern Colorado. In 2017, donations valued at more than $63,500 were distributed to more than 1,000 local children in need.
Toy collections begin in November each year through a network of local businesses who are willing to place one of our Big Red Bins in their offices. On a magical day in December, these items are distributed through Realities For Children Charities to all 34 of our Partner Agencies in Larimer County. From there, these shoppers play Santa to the children and families they serve.
