Working together we inspire change!
Help Realities For Children Deliver Hope this Holiday Season!
Realities For Children is dedicated to meeting the unmet needs of local children who have been abused, neglected, abandoned, or are at-risk. With your help and coming together as a community that cares, we can ensure that no child in need is forgotten.
Now more than ever, the children we serve are relying on their Realities For Children family for support. Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, on average, we provided over 9 emergency grants a day. Now, we are fielding an average of 15 requests per day.
As an emergency response organization, the only way we are able to provide for these increased and changing needs that allow us to be there for children when they need us most is with your help!
Working together, we can inspire change and make a difference in the lives of many this holiday season! Realities For Children has a variety of ways in which you can get involved to make a difference as we work together to reach further into the darkness of abuse.
- Sponsor a Light on the NightLights Tree
- Donate or become a Guardian Angel for children in need
- Collection Drives – Toys, Bikes, Books, Christmas Trees
This holiday season – and beyond – we are letting the most vulnerable in our community know that they are not alone. Together we can bring them needed support today and hope for a better tomorrow.

NIGHTLIGHTS – Presented by Blue Federal Credit Union
Join us for a Free Tree Lighting Celebration as we bring the entire community together around the iconic BIG BLUE TREE at 6 pm in downtown Fort Collins (First Presbyterian Church: 531 S College Ave) on Wednesday, December 1.
There will be live music provided by local talent, Steve Manshel, complimentary hot drinks and tasty holiday treats, and everyone’s favorite – Santa Claus! Children will also have a chance to win our famous 33 lb Chocolate Santa, donated by our friends at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory!
Join us as we light up the night, and help us to take a child out of the darkness of abuse, by giving them a NightLight! Letting every child we serve know that they are not alone! For more information visit: www.GiveANightLight.com

Become a Guardian Angel
This NightLights fundraising campaign is Larimer County’s largest fundraiser for local children who have been abused, neglected or are at-risk.
Last year, Nightlights helped to serve over 5,618 children. To meet the increasing needs this Holiday season and into the New Year, we are looking for Guardian Angels dedicated to letting each child know that they are not alone.
We would like to invite you to be that Guardian Angel. A NightLights Guardian Angel raises $3000 for children in need through our NIghtLights outreach. That is equivalent to 30 lights on the NightLights tree.
We can help you create a Guardian Angel fundraising page of your own and have lots of fun tips to help you reach your fundraising goals. Your efforts to light up the night in the darkness of child abuse will make a lasting impact on our community this holiday season!
For more information about becoming a Guardian Angel, please email, angel@realitiesforchildren.com

Help be the change!
These are just some of the ways in which you can help Realities For Children deliver hope this holiday season. Whichever way you decide to get involved, know that every way has a profound impact on the life of a child. When we all come together in support of the children we serve, we can reach further into the darkness of abuse, and we can let more children know that they are not alone.
Help us make a difference this holiday season. Help us shine a light in the darkness.
Special thanks to our NightLights Sponsors
