RFC Nightlights

Our Community's Children in Need

In 2009, NightLights generated over $75,000 for the needs of abused and neglected children locally, benefited seventeen children’s agencies throughout the New Year and provided valuable programs for over 1,400 abused, neglected and at-risk children in December alone! This past year, the gap between children's needs and available funding widened significantly. During this very challenging year, donor support was more crucial than ever before. NightLights grants will be designated to local youth agencies that serve abused and at-risk children in January of 2010.

The 2009 benefiting agencies included:
Adoption Dreams Come True
Alternatives to Violence
CASA
ChildSafe
Child Advocacy Center
Family Center/La Familia
Foster and Adoptive Families of Larimer County
Harmony House
Jacob Center
Larimer County Department of Human Services
Larimer County Foster Children
Lutheran Family Services
Namaqua Center
Partners Mentoring Youth
The Center for Community Justice Partnerships
The Matthews House

Triumph Award Scholarship Endowment Fund

“On behalf of the Larimer County Department of Human Services, I would like to extend my greatest appreciation to the Realities For Children NightLights Sponsors.  Everyday, in our community, children are identified as being in harm’s way due to the neglect and abuse they are subjected to. At times, it is disheartening to see so many kids and families suffering.  It takes a community, not a single agency, to develop solutions to help kids and families. Realities For Children has truly made a difference in the lives of so many. Thank you for supporting our efforts to protect our most vulnerable citizens.”
Angela Mead - Deputy Division Manager, Larimer County Department of Human Services
